Dori Csengeri for Atelier Swarovski
Spring-Summer 2009 Collection
Dori Csengeri has created two beautifully intricate collections for ATELIER SWAROVSKI this season.
"Combining the Swarovski crystals into the cords of my embroidery was a thrilling process. The shapes and the compositions evolve around the crystal stones creating a game of light and color. The energy between the cool sparkling glamour of the crystal and the warmth of my embroidery builds itself into a beautiful rhythm. Here, in one piece of jewellery, meet up the tradition and eminence of the crystal with the long tradition and quality of delicate feminine hand work. Marrying the two cultures, with the addition of a modern wink in the design has given me great joy."
The ASCOT collection is named after the famous Royal racecourse. A world of etiquette, social traditions and, of course, high fashion and elegance, is revealed in black with cream jewels, combined with sand and moonlight coloured crystals. The shapes are symmetrical with classic sophistication.
With the large oblique necklace, the rules are broken; the world is turned sideways; so is this exceptional piece of jewelry. An asymmetrical composition, that teases with c onventional custom.
SEDUCTION is about wearing pearls in a modern way. Twisting and curling patterns unexpectedly replace the customary pearl strings. The dangling crystal drops tell a story of drama and passion. A dance ball dream set in a palace bejeweled by glittering crystal chandeliers.
